With the launch of a new fashion brand during todays climatecrisis it is inevitable to have a solid sustainability strategy regarding design, choice of fabrics, production and logistics. The Organic Fit stands for slow fashion and provides a seasonless collection of men’s wear.
ORGANIC COTTON
The fashion industry comes in second when looking at the most polluting industries in the world. About 3% of the worlds total agricultural surface is being taken cotton-crops however nearly 25% percent of all the pesticides used in agriculture is used for growing and harvesting these cotton crops. All the cotton used in the garments of The Organic Fit is 100% organic, if possible GOTS certified. When harvesting organic cotton, no pesticides, chemicals or whatsoever is being used which are not only harmful for the soil but also infest surrounding waters which in turn is harmful for farmers and others.
A GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certificate ensures that the cotton was grown, harvested and processed under ethical conditions.
LOW RETURN RATES

The e-commerce landscape is mainly to blame due to providing free shipping and returns. However, The Organic Fit does believe in providing free shipping and returns if possible. This is because you as an online shopper have no means whatsoever to try on the clothes you are buying. In addition to this, it is our responsibility to provide the best possible product information as possible so you can decide in advance whether you will fit the clothes or not. Therefore you only need one purchase to get your required size and we keep our return rates at an all-time low (less than 10% for the Hyperion Sweatpants). Win-win right?

COLLECTION AND DESIGN
The Organic Fit provides timeless essentials for tall men like you. The collection is seasonless meaning that you can shop your favorite tall clothes every year, every season. Because of this no needless inventory is being held which in then have to put up to sale at the end of each season before it is being landfilled. All our products will be sold, if not this season, then the next.
Our collection is being produced as close to the Netherlands as possible for us. Ideally a local manufacturer would be chosen however due to low order quantities and relative high costs for manufacturing in the Netherlands this is not viable. There the collection of The Organic Fit is produced in Portugal and Turkey.
SAVE AND REUSE
Products which are returned by customers are assessed whether they can be put up for sale to another customer. In a physical store you buy clothes which others have tried on as well right? If returned products really are badly damaged or stained of course they will not be sold again.
In addition there are no plastics being used in the fulfilment process, only responsible and sustainable carton and other materials are used.
